Rickie Lambert to quit Liverpool for Bournemouth?

England international Rickie Lambert will leave Liverpool this summer to join newly-promoted Bournemouth, according to a report.

Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert will reportedly leave the club this summer to join Bournemouth.

The England international moved to Anfield from Southampton last year for £4m but has struggled to make an impact at his boyhood club, scoring just three goals in 36 appearances.

The 33-year-old earned his move to Liverpool after netting 14 goals for the Saints in the 2013-14 campaign.

It is thought that Lambert rejected the chance to join Aston Villa in January, but with Reds boss Brendan Rodgers looking to freshen up his attack this summer, it appears that he will move on.

Lambert will return to the South Coast to join newly-promoted Bournemouth for their debut Premier League season, according to The Express.

The frontman is said to be thought of as a cheap and reliable option for the Cherries.

He has scored three goals in 11 appearances for England.
