Liverpool have reportedly played down reports linking the Merseyside outfit with a move for Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder.
The Premier League club were believed to be prepared to scupper the Netherlands international's possible switch to Galatasaray after the Serie A club accepted a bid from the Turkish side.
Despite suggestions that the Reds were keen to make their interest known, it is believed that they have distanced themselves from the rumours even though Sneijder is thought to have rejected the chance to move to Galatasaray, according to BBC Sport.
Manchester United were believed to be keen on the 28-year-old last season.
