Liverpool are reportedly interested in a summer deal for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for his French club during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring nine times and providing seven assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
The Frenchman has a contract at Groupama Stadium until June 2023, but Les Gones are allegedly bracing themselves for offers for the central midfielder.
Manchester City are believed to be interested in signing Aouar during this summer's transfer window, but according to Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool are also firmly in the race.
The report claims that the France Under-21 international, who has also been linked with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, is valued by his Ligue 1 side in the region of €50m (£44.8m).
Liverpool, meanwhile, have reportedly ended their interest in RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
