Liverpool have reportedly identified Gary Hooper as a possible January transfer target in an attempt to solve their striker problems.
The Celtic forward has already scored 10 goals this season and his form has alerted Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, according to the Daily Mail.
A number of scouts from the club were believed to have watched Hooper during Celtic's loss to Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Andy Carroll's loan move to West Ham United and Fabio Borini's broken foot means that Luis Suarez is the only senior striker currently available to Rodgers.
Hooper joined the Bhoys from Scunthorpe United in 2010.
