Liverpool are reportedly lining up a January bid for long-term target Kevin Grosskreutz.
Brendan Rodgers had the German international watched in Borussia Dortmund's Champions League win over Ajax in midweek and is considering an £8m bid, according to The Sun.
Grosskreutz is a close friend of Reds midfielder Nuri Sahin and has admitted that playing for Liverpool would fulfill a dream.
He said: "The Premier League will be my first choice. I really like English football.
"It would be a dream to play for Liverpool at some point. England is a dream for any footballer."
The 24-year-old has played for Dortmund since 2009, the club he supported as a boy.
