Real Madrid reportedly line up a summer bid for Liverpool's Germany international Emre Can.

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to swoop for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this summer.

Los Blancos have identified the German as a potential replacement for Luka Modric, according to El Gol Digital.

Modric, who has been linked with a string of big clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United, has been tipped to leave the La Liga giants this summer.

Can, out of contract this summer, has allegedly been earmarked as his replacement and could join Los Blancos on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Liverpool are keen to retain Can's services, but previous reports suggest that he is also being courted by Juventus and Bayern Munich.
