Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is reportedly considering a Premier League return after failing to cement his place in Zinedine Zidane's squad.

The Welshman, who moved to Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 for £85m, has netted eight times in 18 La Liga appearances this term, including four from the substitutes' bench.

According to Diario Gol, Bale has concluded that he is not guaranteed a starting spot under Zidane, with a return to England a possibility for the 28-year-old.

The report adds that Bale is aware of other options abroad, but expects that his transfer value would only allow Madrid president Florentino Perez to negotiate with a Premier League outfit.

The outlet says that Luka Modric is also considering leaving the Spanish capital, with match fitness over a full season in Madrid an alleged issue for the 32-year-old.
