Andoni Zubizarreta: "We love Martin Montoya very much"

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has said that the club "love" out-of-favour defender Martin Montoya "very much".

The 24-year-old has been on the fringes of the Barca squad this season and his agent has recently said that the Spaniard will leave the Camp Nou in the January transfer window.

Zubizarreta has revealed his admiration for the right-back, but insisted that head coach Luis Enrique makes the decisions.

"We love Montoya very much," he told Canal+.

"He has everything and always gives his best when called upon, but it's the coach who makes the decisions."

Liverpool have been strongly linked with the defender.
