Team News: Three Basel changes for Tel Aviv trip

Basel coach Urs Fischer names three changes to his first XI for their Champions League second leg away to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Basel coach Urs Fischer has elected to make three changes to his first XI for their Champions League second-leg playoff away to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Veteran Argentine stalwart Walter Samuel comes into defence at the expense of Daniel Hoegh following last week's 2-2 first-leg draw.

Elsewhere, Taulant Xhaka and Davide Calla also start in the absence of spearheads Matias Delgado - who scored last week - and Marc Janko.

Meanwhile, there is just the one change for the hosts, as Nikola Mitrovic comes into attack to partner striker Tal Ben Haim.

Eran Zahavi, who netted both goals in the first leg, retains his place in midfield.

Maccabi Tel Aviv: Juan Pablo, Shpungin, Tibi, Ben Harush, Ben Haim I, Alberman, Zahavi, Rikan, Mitrović, Igiebor, Ben Haim II

Basel: Vaclick; Lang, Suchy, Samuel, Safari; Xhaka, Elneny, Calla, Zuffi, Bjarnason; Embolo
