Frannie Collin struck a brace to gift seventh-tier Maidstone United a 2-1 win against League Two side Stevenage in Thursday evening's FA Cup first-round replay at the Gallagher Stadium.
The hosts, who play in the Isthmian League Premier Division, spectacularly opened the scoring after just 75 seconds when Chris Day's save rebounded to Collin, who duly fired home to drive the home fans wild.
The League Two outfit soon got into gear and began threatening the Maidstone goal, with Lee Barnard's header forcing a save out of Lee Worgan just after the quarter-hour mark.
Soon after, Chris Whelpdale struck two chances midway through the first half to keep the home side on their toes, while Roarie Deacon also made the Maidstone keeper work with a good effort on the half-hour mark.
Stevenage made their pressure pay off when they equalised just after the restart when Charlie Lee's cross fell to Darius Charles, who duly poked home into the bottom right corner.
Jamie Coyle nearly pulled a goal back for Maidstone with a lofted shot from 10 yards, but Day managed to palm the effort away.
With both sides trading shots thereafter, extra time looked on the horizon, but the hosts struck a late winner when Collin headed home from close range following a Ben Greenhalgh cross.
The non-league outfit will now travel to Conference Premier side Wrexham in the second round of the competition.
