Portsmouth win in five-goal thriller

Joe Devera's late goal gives Portsmouth a dramatic 3-2 win over Stevenage at Fratton Park.

Portsmouth bounced back from going 1-0 down to win 3-2 and record their first league victory in six attempts at Fratton Park this evening.

The away side took the lead through Dean Wells, who fired home Charlie Lee's cushioned header from Dean Parrett's corner on 23 minutes.

Jed Wallace grabbed an equaliser 10 minutes later when his effort was deflected beyond Chris Day and into the far corner of the Stevenage goal.

The home side then took the lead through Miles Storey just before the half-hour mark when Danny Hollands picked out the on-loan forward, who fired into the top right corner from the centre of the box.

However, Stevenage were level on 74 minutes when Chris Beardsley calmly finished from close range.

Portsmouth responded through Joe Devera who headed home on 79 minutes to give his side a precious win.
