Tony Pulis insists that Stoke City are desperate to beat Manchester City later today and keep their proud FA Cup record alive.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has revealed that he will play his strongest starting lineup in a bid to exact FA Cup revenge on Manchester City in this afternoon's fourth-round tie.

City pipped the Potters in the final two years ago thanks a single goal from Yaya Toure.

Pulis insists that the competition remains a priority at the Britannia Stadium because the majority of his squad have seen what reaching a Wembley final can do for the club.

He told the Football Association's official website: "I will name the strongest possible team available to me at the weekend because this is a game we really want to win.

"We have seen what this competition can do for a football club, and we are desperate to progress through to the next round if we can.

"We take The FA Cup incredibly seriously here and have a fantastic record in the competition. It's going to be a fantastic atmosphere, City are bringing 4,500 supporters and we'll have the rest of it. It will be a great occasion."

Stoke have lost just three of their last 18 games in the FA Cup and have reached the fifth round in each of the last three seasons.
