George Boyd to appeal Football Association charge

Hull City confirm that George Boyd will appeal his FA charge of misconduct.

Hull City have confirmed that George Boyd will appeal his Football Association charge of misconduct.

The winger was charged on Tuesday for allegedly spitting at Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart during Saturday's Premier League match at the KC Stadium.

Boyd and Hart confronted each other towards the end of Manchester City's 2-0 win after the Hull player had tried to win his side a penalty.

The FA revealed on Tuesday that Hart would not be punished for his part in the incident.
