Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has claimed that he will wait to decide on whether to play David Silva against West Bromwich Albion next week.
The 28-year-old did not feature in City's 2-2 draw with Sunderland on Wednesday night due to an ankle injury.
Pellegrini has revealed that the Spaniard has been playing through the problem, which he suffered in March against Manchester United.
"David has a problem in his ankle," Pellegrini told reporters. "He played the last games in that condition, but it was a game each week.
"Playing after three days he couldn't do it [against Sunderland]. We will see if he is [fit] on Sunday for Monday. I hope he can play."
City are currently six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool in the table with a game in hand.
