Former Manchester City manager Joe Royle believes that Roberto Mancini should enlist the help of Carlos Tevez to try to pip Manchester United to the Premier League title.
The controversial star has not played for the senior side since September but following City's drop into second place in the table, Royle believes that the Argentina international is the ideal player to bring in.
"If there can be a reuniting of Tevez and City, it will only be for City's benefit," Royle told talkSPORT.
"There are a lot of City fans that will never forgive him but, if he comes in, he will improve the side. He is a world-class striker. Of his kind, he is still the best at the club.
"If you want someone marauding around up front, who can score goals, bring others into play, bring running power, that is Tevez. I would have no problem playing him again."
Mancini hinted that the 28-year-old could make a Premier League comeback after City slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Swansea City on Sunday.
