Manchester City host Blackburn Rovers at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday with a bid to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City resume Premier League action this weekend with a clash against Blackburn Rovers following their emphatic victories in the Europa League.

While City boss Roberto Mancini has hinted that controversial star Carlos Tevez could play again for the league leaders, the Argentina international is unlikely to be included in the team due to lack of fitness.

Yaya Toure is expected to make his league comeback for the first time since he departed with the Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Mario Balotelli could replace Edin Dzeko up front alongside Sergio Aguero, with David Silva sitting just behind the strikers.

Meanwhile, Rovers boss Steve Kean could include Christopher Samba in the starting XI after the defender began training with his teammates this week following conflict with the club over his desire to leave in January.
