Javi Garcia, Scott Sinclair and Maicon are all given their Manchester City debuts for the clash with Stoke City.

Roberto Mancini has given three summer signings their debuts for Manchester City for the trip to Stoke City this afternoon.

Maicon, Javi Garcia and Scott Sinclair all start for the Premier League champions, while Mario Balotelli has recovered from an eye problem to partner Carlos Tevez in attack.

Michael Owen will have to wait to make his Stoke debut from the bench after Tony Pulis decided to keep faith with strikers Peter Crouch and Jonathan Walters.

Charlie Adam keeps his place in midfield despite Pulis admitting that he has not had enough time to work with the Scotland international.
