Manchester City allegedly show an interest in signing Palmeiras youngster Ivan Angulo, according to an unnamed director at the Brazilian club.

Manchester City have allegedly identified Palmeiras youngster Ivan Angulo as a potential signing.

Manager Pep Guardiola has previously suggested that City will not make any additions during the January window, but it appears that the Premier League giants continue to look ahead to the future.

According to Yahoo! Esportes!, City have made contact with Palmeiras to discuss the future transfer of Colombia Under-20 international Angulo, but an immediate transfer has seemingly been ruled out by a club official.

An unnamed director is quoted as saying: "A representative of Manchester City wanted to propose a future agreement. We didn't even want to open a conversation. We are not interested in an Angulo partnership at this time.".

Angulo has only recently linked up with Palmeiras, having made an impression with Colombian side Envigado.
