Aston Villa have reportedly made a bid to sign out-of-favour Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair on loan this month.
The 25-year-old former Chelsea flyer has struggled to earn regular first-team football since moving to the Etihad Stadium in 2012.
Sinclair has made just four appearances as a late substitute this season, but the Daily Mail claims that Villa manager Paul Lambert is keen to offer the player a Premier League escape route.
Villa could apparently face competition from the likes of Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palace and Norwich City for his signature.
However, Sinclair, who spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, is thought to favour a move to the Villains and is eager to resurrect his career away from the Premier League champions.
