Ashley Young has revealed that the entire England squad are "feeling confident" ahead of their Euro 2012 opener against France on Monday afternoon.
The Manchester United winger, who has scored five goals in his last seven outings for the Three Lions, believes that recent performances have left Roy Hodgson's side in good shape for their upcoming encounters.
"I'm feeling confident on the back of a few goals and assists," Young told reporters. "Everybody in the squad is feeling confident ahead of that game and I'm sure that if we can go out there and put in the displays we have in the last couple of games we will get a good result.
"The organisation has been different in the two previous games which I think has helped.
"I think it is always important to get off to a winning start. It is obviously going to be a tough one. I've got every reason to think we will go out there and get a win."
As well as France, England have also been placed in a group with co-hosts Ukraine and Sweden.
