Joey Barton has criticised Roy Hodgson's decision to make Jordan Henderson part of his 23-man squad for Euro 2012.
Liverpool midfielder Henderson was originally called up to the standby list for the tournament. However, he was made part of the official squad after Frank Lampard was ruled out with a thigh injury.
Discussing the selection of Henderson on Twitter, Queens Park Rangers captain Barton believes that it should have left every other English midfielder feeling "aggrieved", while also insisting that he has the ability to play for the Three Lions.
"On ability I walk in the squad, on behaviour I don't," he wrote. "If Henderson got in, any Englishman not currently in the squad has to feel aggrieved. Yes, I wish I was there but I'm not.
"Everyones thinking it [but] I'll say it. Liverpool have [had an] horrific season and have six players in our Euro squad. What chance do we have. Pick on form."
Barton has one England cap to his name.
