Anthony Martial is to miss Manchester United's game with Tottenham Hotspur through injury, according to a report.

The Frenchman went off after 82 minutes of the Red Devils' 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday and he is now a major doubt for Wednesday's game, which will mark Jose Mourinho's return to Old Trafford.

Sky Sports News reports that Martial's issue is muscular in nature but that not much detail is known at the moment about how much time he could miss.

The former Monaco forward has scored five goals in 12 games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season.

The Norwegian will definitely be without Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Diogo Dalot for Wednesday's fixture, with Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay also significant doubts.
