Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez has revealed that he would like to force his way into David Moyes's plans for the senior side at Manchester United this season.
The 19-year-old completed a switch to Old Trafford last summer, but he failed to make an appearance last season and spent part of the campaign with FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic on loan.
However, having scored in a pre-season friendly in Sweden earlier this month, the centre-forward has expressed his desire to gain more experience of playing in the first team.
"I'm feeling physically very well and did a good pre-season. I'm getting more minutes in the reserves and I want some minutes in the first team," he told the club's official website.
"I must keep improving, keep working and am looking forward to getting in the first team - always. At first, it was a bit hard [here] but now I'm getting used to everything, like the weather and language. My teammates received me very well and I'm very comfortable here. It feels like home.
"This season, I just need to play a lot of games and keep improving, be fit and keep scoring goals for the season. I hope to score a lot of goals."
Henriquez has made two appearances for Chile at senior international level.
