Man United's Daley Blind confident of Premier League title challenge next season

Daley Blind is confident that Manchester United will challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind believes that the club will be fighting for the Premier League title next season.

The Red Devils ended the 2013-14 campaign seventh, but under new manager Louis van Gaal, the side have moved to third in the table, eight points behind leaders Chelsea.

While the league trophy is unlikely to return to Old Trafford in May, Blind has no doubt that the North-West outfit will be among the contenders next season.

"I think Manchester United is always a club that is fighting for the title," The Telegraph quotes Blind as saying. "We have to watch ourselves this season, our own games, focus on that and then we will see where it ends, but we don't have to watch Chelsea.

"We have to watch for our own games. We have to look at ourselves because every game is a final and we have to believe in ourselves. We have improved a lot and are still improving and we really are one team."

United have won their last six league games on the bounce, the most recent being a 4-2 win over local rivals Manchester City.
