Manchester United attacker Cristiano Ronaldo supposedly earned an £850k bonus after bagging his 60th career hat-trick in Saturday's 3-2 Premier League win over Norwich City.
The Portugal international was in the right place at the right time to open the scoring after a defensive error from the Canaries before heading home to double his tally in the first half.
Norwich responded through Kieran Dowell and Teemu Pukki, but Ronaldo saved United's bacon with a sweetly-struck free kick in the second half of the encounter to boost their top-four hopes.
According to The Sun, Ronaldo earned a £750k bonus after hitting 20 goals for the season in all competitions, and he pocketed an extra £100k after notching his 21st goal of the campaign.
The report adds that the 37-year-old will add an extra six figures to his account for every goal that he scores after hitting the 20-mark, and a £1m bonus will be his if he ends the campaign as the club's top goalscorer.
Ronaldo has now amassed a total of 139 goals in 326 appearances during his two spells at Man United, who have risen to fifth in the table after prevailing against the Canaries.
