Sir Alex Ferguson insists that Wayne Rooney is not fazed by missing penalties and will be back on spot-kick duty soon.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has assured Wayne Rooney that he will eventually be back on penalty duties.

Rooney missed his 10th spot kick for United in the FA Cup replay against West Ham United, and the duty fell to Ryan Giggs in yesterday's win over Fulham.

Ferguson, though, says that Rooney has the right temperament to recover and will be back on penalty duty before long.

"With Wayne missing the penalties he has, it was time to give him a break," Ferguson said.

"But he will come back to it. The thing about Wayne is that it doesn't faze him if he misses one. He has a fantastic temperament."

Ferguson also challenged his team to win the FA Cup following yesterday's convincing victory.
