Darren Fletcher has hit back at suggestions that Manchester United are currently lacking in the midfield area.
The Red Devils have come in for some criticism this season for failing to replace the retired Paul Scholes during the summer.
However, Scotland captain Fletcher believes that he and his fellow midfielders at Old Trafford have enough quality to guide the club to success over the coming months.
"We've got quality midfield players and I don't see what all the fuss is about," said the 27-year-old. "We have been successful with the midfield and the squad we've got.
"We've been at Manchester United long enough to realise that criticism is always going to be there. It's part and parcel of the job.
"We're fully confident in our abilities and what we bring to the team and what we've been doing at United for many years."
Fletcher has spent his entire professional career with United.
