Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has said that he is "buzzing" following the Citizens' crucial 1-0 win over Manchester United.
The Belgian scored the only goal of the game in first-half injury time and put in a man-of-the-match performance as Roberto Mancini's men regained top spot in the Premier League.
However, Kompany has also warned the Manchester City camp that the title race is not yet over.
"[I am] absolutely buzzing," the 25-year-old told Sky Sports News. "We have been waiting for this moment and it's far from over, we know that. Just to give our fans two wins over United this season, we have have to finish it off in the the next two games.
"This victory goes out to the whole team. The performance was great today. There were so many great performances and I am happy for them.
"The chairman came in today and had a word with the players and said no matter what result you get today we are proud of you guys. For us to get this result is just a bonus and we wanted it so bad. So much has been said about us but it's all about football. It all comes down to the dreams we had as children."
The vital goal was Kompany's second of the season.
