Roberto Mancini admits that Manchester City are favourites to win the Premier League but refuses to underestimate Queens Park Rangers.

Roberto Mancini has finally admitted that Manchester City are favourites to snatch the Premier League title from Manchester United's clutches.

The Italian boss has been dismissive over his side's chances of league glory in recent weeks, despite a dramatic turnaround which resulted in the Red Devils dropping an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

City are now equal on points with Sir Alex Ferguson's side with a superior eight-goal difference following their 2-0 win over Newcastle United yesterday.

The blue half of Manchester can clinch the coveted trophy at the Etihad Stadium next Sunday if they defeat Queens Park Rangers.

"Now, yes [we are favourites but] it will be a difficult game because QPR are good and are playing [to avoid] relegation," Mancini told talkSPORT.

United travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland in their final fixture of the season.
