David Moyes: 'Manchester United weren't good enough'

David Moyes admits that his Manchester United team were not good enough in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford.

David Moyes has admitted that his Manchester United team were not good enough in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford.

United got off to the worst possible start in tonight's Manchester derby after Edin Dzeko fired City ahead within the first minute, before doubling the advantage in the second half.

Yaya Toure was on hand to snatch the points and the bragging rights for the Citizens in the closing stages, and the Scot admits that Manuel Pellegrini's troops were worthy winners.

He told Sky Sports News: "We didn't start the game well. They were very good but we grew into the game and up into the second goal we had a fighting chance. But we weren't good enough in the end."

The Red Devils sit 12 points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal in the Premier League table, while City move to within three points of Chelsea with two games in hand.
