Paul Pogba: 'I'm unfairly judged'

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba suggests that he is often unfairly criticised for his performances, but will use that as a challenge to improve his game.

Paul Pogba has claimed that he is "judged differently" for his performances in a Manchester United shirt compared to other Premier League midfielders.

The France international has endured a mixed second season back at Old Trafford, seeing his role in the Red Devils' starting lineup under Jose Mourinho questioned.

Pogba has six goals and 11 assists to his name in all competitions, however, and was recently named as Man of the Match in wins over Manchester City and Bournemouth.

Speaking to Sky Sports News ahead of Sunday's home match with Arsenal, the 25-year-old suggested that he is unfairly criticised at times.

"It's quite funny because we don't judge me on the midfield part. We judge me on assists and goals and that's the truth," he said. "I can make an outstanding game, but if I don't score or make an assist they will say, 'that is normal', or whatever.

"But if someone else does it, it is different. They will maybe be man of the match. I think I'm judged differently, but it's good. It makes me improve as well, it is a challenge for me and I take it in a good way.

"I don't take it in a bad way. I'll try to score and make assists and that's it. I still want to do my job in midfield. If I can help the team in attack and defence and make a difference I will do it. If I can score and assist it is even better."

Pogba has been tipped to win the Ballon d'Or award at United by Brazilian legend Ronaldinho.
