Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba talks up the imminent return of club "legend" Cristiano Ronaldo, tipping the forward to improve their "winning mentality".

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has said that he is relishing the prospect of playing alongside returning "legend" Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Red Devils confirmed on Friday that they have reached an agreement to re-sign the five-time Ballon d'Or winner from Juventus, subject to a medical, personal terms and a visa being sorted.

Ronaldo is expected to be available to make his second debut for the club when they return from the international break next month.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side ensured that they went into the break off the back of a win by narrowly overcoming Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 at Molineux on Sunday, and Pogba acknowledged after the game that Ronaldo will only improve the team.

"Everybody knows [what he brings]. He's already a legend at this club and he is coming back," Pogba told Sky Sports News.

"Obviously, it's good for us, he's going to bring his experience and quality. When he comes, the level goes up.

"We're really pleased he's coming, and the most important thing today was the win so that when he comes we keep this winning mentality and keep going."

Ronaldo, who could make his debut against Newcastle United on September 11, scored 118 goals in 292 appearances during his first spell at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009.
