Jamie Redknapp thinks that Manchester United will have to bounce back quickly in order to salvage a "difficult" period in their season.
The Red Devils were knocked out of the Champions League following a 2-1 defeat to Basel in Switzerland last night.
"If you look at it at the moment, they're in a difficult moment," Redknapp said on Sky Sports News. [They] went out last week in the Carling Cup, five points behind Manchester City and now out of the Champions League. It's all to do now.
"So often in the past they've had difficult moments and come of age and produced something. But at the moment I'm looking and thinking, it looks like Nemanja Vidic could be out for a long while, they'll miss him. Wayne Rooney was out of form today. They're under real pressure and its very early in the season. They're going to have to turn it around."
The Premier League champions will now compete in the Europa League alongside rivals Manchester City.
