Marcos Rojo backs Louis van Gaal to deliver titles

Marcos Rojo is certain that Manchester United will win trophies under the guidance of manager Louis van Gaal.

Marcos Rojo has backed Louis van Gaal to deliver trophies at Manchester United in the coming years.

The Dutchman led the Red Devils to a fourth-placed Premier League finish in his first season at Old Trafford last term.

Consequently, United are poised to re-qualify for the Champions League if they negotiate a playoff tie in August, and Rojo was unequivocal in his claim that Van Gaal will lead them to bigger and better achievements soon.

"Louis van Gaal will be successful at Manchester United. He will win trophies. For me, that's not even a question," the Argentina defender told a press conference.

"From the first training session he took, we could tell he was a winner. He's very demanding. He's not only looking to improve the team but also looking to improve you as an individual – he made me a better player.

"Being demanding and asking a lot is a sign of a real winner and it will only be a short time before Manchester United are winning trophies again."

Van Gaal's troops kick off the new Premier League season by hosting Tottenham Hotspur on August 8 - a clash that will raise the curtain for the 2015-16 season.
