Wayne Rooney has admitted that he is more focused on clinching the Premier League trophy for Manchester United than on individual achievements.
The Red Devils' boss Sir Alex Ferguson recently set the England international a 40-goal target before the end of the season, but the 26-year-old believes that results are more important.
"I am playing well, enjoying my football and scoring goals, so I hope that continues to help the team," said Rooney.
"I know what my previous-best tally is and how many goals I need to score to reach it. But I'm not focusing on that.
"I'm focused on the 10 games left and getting those points to help us be successful. If it happens, great, but the most important thing is for us to be winning trophies."
Rooney's current goal tally this season is 26, nine of which the frontman has snatched in United's last six games.
