Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has admitted that he is pleased with his decision to come out of retirement earlier in the season.
The former England international called time on his career last summer, bringing an end to a 17-year association with the club.
He then sealed a switch to the coaching staff at Old Trafford, although he has now confessed that he made the wrong decision.
"The coaching was okay but it wasn't anything like playing," Scholes told MUTV. "I was still coming in every day and seeing players. It was difficult to adjust, I admit that.
"I really missed the playing side up until Christmas, when I went to see the manager."
Scholes returned to the United squad in January.
