Robin van Persie: 'Radamel Falcao will find his form'

Robin van Persie backs Radamel Falcao to return to his best following his loan stint at Manchester United.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has said that he believes Radamel Falcao will recover from his loan spell with the Red Devils.

The Colombian moved to Old Trafford on loan from AS Monaco last summer but struggled to reproduce his best form in a United shirt.

Falcao has now returned to his parent club, but Van Persie says that the 31-year-old can rediscover the form that made him one of the most coveted strikers in Europe.

"I've got a lot of respect for Falcao," The Mirror quotes Van Persie as saying.

"In any position he was used, he kept doing his best, training extra hard. That's what a real professional does. Falcao is a fantastic football player. He'll always come back on top."

Falcao scored four goals in 26 Premier League appearances for United last season.
