Sir Alex Ferguson: 'David Moyes will not be sacked'

Sir Alex Ferguson insists that Manchester United will not sack David Moyes as the manager anytime soon.

Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that Manchester United will not sack manager David Moyes.

Moyes has come under pressure this season because of a disappointing campaign that has seen the Red Devils get knocked out of the FA Cup and the League Cup, as well as fall out of the Premier League title race.

"Absolutely," The Sun quotes former United boss Ferguson as saying when asked if Moyes has the club's backing.

"You don't even need to go down that road. Everyone knows what Manchester United is — it's absolutely 100%. Manchester United have always been that way."

United are currently seventh in the league table with 37 points from 22 matches.
