Team News: Wayne Rooney not in Manchester United squad

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is out with a knee injury for his side's Premier League clash against Stoke City on Tuesday evening at Old Trafford.

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has not been included in his side's squad for their Premier League clash against Stoke City this evening at Old Trafford.

The England skipper suffered a knee injury in the final moments of Saturday's 3-0 win against Hull City, meaning that James Wilson will start in his place.

Argentine winger Angel di Maria is also out with a hamstring injury, Ander Herrera lining up in the starting XI instead.

Meanwhile, Stoke have made three changes from the side that lost 1-0 to Liverpool at the weekend, with Phil Bardsley, Stephen Ireland and Oussama Assaidi coming in for Steve Sidwell, Jonathan Walters and Marko Arnautovic.
