Arsenal are reportedly ready to enter the running for Jules Kounde after Sevilla cut their asking price for the centre-back to £50m.
The 22-year-old burst onto the scene last season and has once again impressed for Sevilla this term, earning regular links with Europe's heavyweight clubs.
Manchester United are among those to have been tipped to move for the France Under-21s international to partner Harry Maguire from the start of next season.
However, The Express claims that fellow Premier League side Arsenal, who are themselves looking to strengthen at the back, may also now be in the mix to land Kounde.
The Gunners had little hope of matching Sevilla's previous £70m valuation for the former Bordeaux ace, but Los Nervionenses are believed to have knocked £20m off that sum.
Kounde is also a rumoured target for Real Madrid and previously came close to joining Manchester City, who have since signed Ruben Dias.
