Cardiff City will complete the signings of Manchester United full-back Fabio da Silva and Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones in the next 24 hours, according to a report.
The Bluebirds will secure Brazilian international Fabio on a permanent deal, while Jones will be a straight swap for summer signing Peter Odemwingie, according to Wales Online.
Potters boss Mark Hughes, who recently fined the Trinidadian two weeks' wages for a breach of discipline after he allegedly refused to play against Liverpool because of his desire to leave, is reported to have sanctioned the move, providing he can get Odemwingie in return.
Left-back Fabio, meanwhile, has struggled to make an impact in his time at United, having spent time last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers.
The pair could potentially link up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad ahead of Tuesday's trip to Old Trafford if final dealings go according to plan.
