Manchester United's summer transfer plans have reportedly been boosted by interest from Borussia Dortmund in Shinji Kagawa, a development that could lead to a swap deal for Ilkay Gundogan.
The Sunday People claims that the former Bundesliga champions are looking at bringing the Japanese international back to the club, two years after he departed the Westfalenstadion for Old Trafford.
Gundogan, who has been sidelined with a back injury since August, is believed to be a realistic target. The German star is entering the final year of his contract and is said to be open to offers from elsewhere.
The report also claims that Gundogan, his Dortmund teammate Marco Reus and Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos form part of an extensive list of summer targets for United manager David Moyes as he plans to overhaul his squad.
