Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has reportedly held a number of video calls with Atalanta BC forward Rasmus Hojlund amid the transfer speculation surrounding the Dane.
The 20-year-old made the move to Atalanta from Sturm Graz last summer, and he has impressed for his Italian club this season, featuring on 33 occasions, scoring nine goals and registering four assists.
Hojlund has another four years left to run on his contract, but Man United are believed to be planning to make a move for him when the summer transfer window opens for business.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Red Devils head coach Ten Hag has had 'multiple video calls' with the Denmark international.
The report claims that the 20-time English champions view Hojlund as a genuine target this summer, with the club potentially dropping their interest in Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

Man United are said to be wary of entering into a long-running transfer saga involving Kane, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy not believed to be willing to sell to a domestic rival.
The Red Devils are likely to be in the market for two new forwards this summer rather than one, as Anthony Martial could leave on a permanent basis, while Wout Weghorst is set to return to Burnley following an unsuccessful loan spell.
There have been claims that Hojlund could arrive alongside a more recognised forward, with the Dane viewed as a player for the future.
Hojlund has been a regular starter for Atalanta this season, featuring from the first whistle of a Serie A match on 19 occasions, and he has provided a goal and an assist in his last two appearances at club level.

The forward has also made a huge impression during the early stages of his international career, scoring five times in four appearances, including a hat-trick against Finland.
Hojlund started his professional career at Copenhagen before moving to Sturm Graz, and he netted 12 goals in 12 appearances during a successful spell with the Austrian side.
Man United have secured Champions League football for next season, with the club finishing third in the Premier League table, while they won the EFL Cup at the end of February.
Ten Hag's side will now go in search of the FA Cup crown this weekend, with Premier League champions Manchester City their opponents in the final.
