Newcastle United have reportedly added Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard to their list of transfer targets.
The England international reignited his career on loan at West Ham United last term, but the Hammers failed in their bid to sign him permanently this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer previously affirmed that Lingard had a future at Man United, but he has only seen 45 minutes of action in the top flight this term, during which time he has bagged two goals.
With Newcastle being tipped to splash the cash following their £300m takeover, The Telegraph claims that a move for Lingard could be on the cards.
Lingard is currently due to become a free agent in the summer of 2022, with the Red Devils at risk of losing him for free if a January fee cannot be agreed with Newcastle.
The attacker has scored late goals against Newcastle and West Ham United so far this season, taking his total to the club to 35 from 216 appearances.
