RB Leipzig director Oliver Mintzlaff has insisted that Christopher Nkunku will not be leaving the Bundesliga club during this summer's transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been in impressive form during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 18 goals and registering 13 assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.
Nkunku managed seven goals and two assists in six appearances in the group stages of this season's Champions League, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future.
Manchester United are believed to be interested in the Frenchman, who is capable of operating in a number of different positions in the final third of the field.
However, Mintzlaff has said that Nkunku will not be leaving Leipzig during this summer's transfer window.
"He will also play with us next season because of course he is a very important player," Mintzlaff told Sky 90.
The former France Under-21s international still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract at Leipzig, placing the German outfit in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations.
