Manchester United reject a loan bid from Brazilian outfit Palmeiras for Alexis Sanchez, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly rejected a loan bid from Brazilian outfit Palmeiras for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chile international joined United in January 2018 off the back of an impressive spell at Arsenal.

The 30-year-old has scored just five goals in 45 appearances for the 20-time English champions, though, and has been tipped to leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this summer.

According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, via Sports Witness, Palmeiras made an approach to sign Sanchez on loan, but United were quick to reject the offer as the Brazilian side were only willing to pay part of his wages.

Sanchez, who is currently representing Chile at the Copa America, has also been linked with Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan since the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

The former Barcelona attacker still has three years left to run on his contract with United, which is said to be worth in excess of £500,000 a week.
