Manchester United are ready to submit an offer for Genoa's 18-year-old striker Richmond Boakye, according to talkSPORT.
However, the Premier League champions could face competition for his signature from another European club, believed to be Italian side Juventus.
Boakye is currently on loan at Serie B side Sassuolo, where he has scored six goals in 12 matches.
"United have already asked me because he is very strong," Genoa's president Enrico Preziosi told reporters. "I only know that two great clubs are interested but I cannot go further."
Boakye found the net on his Genoa debut in April 2010.
