Manchester United 'keeping tabs on Mauro Icardi'

Manchester United reportedly prepare to send scouts to watch Mauro Icardi in action for Inter Milan against Verona this weekend.

Manchester United are reportedly sending scouts to watch Mauro Icardi in action when Inter Milan take on Verona this weekend.

The Argentine forward has hit 17 goals for the Nerazzurri this term, but is yet to sign a new deal at San Siro, and reports have claimed that the South American is a target for Chelsea.

According to the Daily Mail, United are ready to rival the Premier League leaders, and have sent a delegate to watch Icardi in action twice already this season.

Radamel Falcao is expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the campaign when his loan spell is up, and Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is keen to add another striker to his ranks.

United host local rivals Manchester City on Sunday.
