Manchester United will reportedly miss out on a deal for Sandro Tonali this summer as the Brescia midfielder is set to join Inter Milan ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The 20-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in Italian football, has been linked with a number of clubs over the last few months.
United were thought to be keen on a summer deal for the midfielder, but according to CorSera, Inter have won the race for his signature ahead of next season.
The report claims that Antonio Conte's side will pay an initial €35m (£31m) for the Italy international, although the fee could rise with future performance-based add-ons.
Liverpool have also been linked with Tonali, while a report earlier this year claimed that Barcelona had identified him as a player capable of becoming their new Andres Iniesta.
The defensive midfielder scored once in 34 Serie A appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.
