Manchester United are reportedly tracking Nice's Jean Michael Seri, as Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his midfield options.
According to Sky Sports News, the Portuguese is considering his options for next season due to Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini looking set to leave Old Trafford.
Belgian international Fellaini, who has six months left on his current deal in Manchester, is no closer to penning an extension at the club.
The source says that Mourinho has reportedly identified 26-year-old Seri, who has a £33m release clause in his contract, as a replacement should Fellaini depart.
United have already splashed the cash this month, securing former Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez on a reported £500,000-per-week contract.
